Luis Munana started off as a model in South Africa when he was still completing his Finance degree. As a runaway model, he did World fashion Week Events, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Cape Town, Johannesburg Nigeria, London etc.
He also featured in commercials for PEPSI, Etisalat (Nigeria), Shield (Europe), TN1 Boxes, MiFone amongst others. His TV background includes being a host of Yo Music Countdown (Namibia) , Voigush Africa (Co-founder and presenter). Under Voiguish Africa he’s hosted the red carpet at MTV Base All Africa Awards, Metro Fm Awards and many more.
Luis has hosted the Namibian Annual Music Awards, Namibia's Got Talent Show, the City of Windhoek annual New Year Bash on Live TV for 3 years consecutively.
After taking part and representing Namibia as a housemate in Big Brother Africa’s 2014 edition, he established the first ever Windhoek Fashion Week which is now known as the MTC Windhoek Fashion Week.
He further spread his wings in children entertainment and early childhood development by establishing the first ever Puppet Cartoon Show for Namibia called Waka Waka Moo. To date, the Waka Waka Moo Franchise has branched into a private school, Awards Show and kids merchandising. Waka Waka Moo has been licensed to air in the United Kingdom, Carribean Islands and the United States of America.
Luis’ hard work, talents and perseverance in making a mark in the African landscape has not gone unnoticed. In 2019, he became the first Namibian in the creative sector to be listed on Forbes Africa 30 under 30. He was then one of 5 Africans to be recognised by Forbes Japan. Luis has multiple accolades, locally and internationally.
Luis has been invited to speak at Oxford University in the UK alongside the First Lady of Namibia Madame Monica Geingos. He serves as an example of African excellence. Luis is part of a handful of Namibians to be featured on CNN and BBC for his outstanding work.
In 2020 Luis launched Zuriel; a luxurious fashion brand targeting the elite high end Namibian market with a desire to own tailored and unique clothing. Zuriel has captured the attention of not only Namibians but also other Africans and Europeans.s
Luis Munana has spear headed, created and contributed towards programmes that benefit millions of people locally and nationwide. His initiatives have reached beyond the borders of Namibia by touching other African countries and the world. To date Luis Munana is one of the most followed personalities in Namibia on social media.
